We are happy explaining what people should be looking for when pricing gold leaf.
Purity: Our gold leaf is 23.5k (98%) - Recommended for external use.
Weight of gold: This is a tricky one, as the weight per sheet is fractions of a gram. However, the way we purchase our gold is the weight spread across 10,000 sheets, or 400 books (25 80mm x 80mm sheets per book).
So, our Medium Weight Gold is 140 gms and our Heavy Weight Gold is 159 gms. Summerised as 14g & 16g.
It's definitely worth asking these questions if you're shopping around for gold leaf.

We can't think of another product which has revoltionised the way we work like our Magic Size...We used to gild over several days, using a black undercoat, followed by a yellow undercoat, followed by a gold size - Then gold leaf. Our gold looked great, but it took a very long time, and you were still beholden to the curing window of the gold size...

Enter our Magic Size, which we found at a European Stone Show. Amazingly, after application, you have around 8 hours in which to apply the gold leaf. So, if you're dragged away during the gilding process, no problem, you can just come back and finish the job...It really is MAGIC.
